Fiscal Services Department


The HESD Fiscal Services department is responsible for business operations of the district, including budget and accounting, nutrition services, purchasing, and warehouse.

The Fiscal Services leadership team is committed to providing sound financial management for the district, school facilities that are clean, safe and in good repair, and to providing other operational services to support the instructional program for Heber Elementary School District students.

Fiscal Services is dedicated to providing for the acquisition of equipment, supplies, materials and services needed to ensure academic success throughout the District using fiscally responsible methods.

  • Prepare timely payments to vendors for goods/services received

  • Process employee reimbursements

  • Accounts receivable

  • Budget services and support for all sites/departments

  • Review funding for all personnel requests

  • Assist sites and departments with account code structure when making expenditures

  • Provide budget analysis and training    

  • Provide staffing projection costs

  • Central Attendance accounting and reporting

  • Budgets and State reporting for audit compliance

  • Develop and process bid packages as well as related contracts for construction and maintenance projects and acquisition of equipment and supplies.

  • Purchase equipment, supplies, materials and services for school sites and district offices at a competitive price.

  • Monitor ASB fundraising procedures for proper use of funds and to ensure timely deposits.

  • Monitor and develop internal controls for proper District oversight.
